VariantIQ offers a free tier and a single Pro plan. All billing is handled directly through Shopify — no separate payment method required.

Free Trial
Every Pro plan starts with a 14-day free trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends. If you uninstall before the trial ends, you will not be billed.
Billing is handled by Shopify
You approve the subscription through Shopify's standard billing flow. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice alongside your other app subscriptions. There is no separate SaasyLlama account or payment method required.
Annual Plan
The Annual plan is $99.99/year — equivalent to ~$8.33/month, saving you approximately 16% compared to monthly billing. Annual subscribers also receive priority support.
What Happens When You Hit a Plan Limit
On the Free plan:
- Creating more than 1 template is blocked with a prompt to upgrade.
- Adding more than 3 fields to a template is blocked with a prompt to upgrade.
- Conditional rules, datasets, analytics, and webhooks are locked — these sections display an upgrade prompt instead.
- Existing templates and their linked products remain fully functional regardless of plan limits.
Upgrading to Pro
- Open VariantIQ in your Shopify admin.
- Click Upgrade to Pro in the banner or navigate to the Billing page.
- Choose Monthly or Annual and click Start Free Trial.
- Approve the subscription through Shopify's billing confirmation page.
You'll be redirected back to VariantIQ with a confirmation message once the subscription is active.
Cancellation
You can cancel your VariantIQ subscription at any time by uninstalling the app:
Settings → Apps and sales channels → VariantIQ → Uninstall
Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. Template configurations, field definitions, rules, and datasets are retained for 30 days after uninstall in case you reinstall.
