The Analytics dashboard gives you visibility into how customers interact with your VariantIQ templates — tracking views, add-to-cart events, and conversion rates per template.

Accessing Analytics
From the VariantIQ dashboard, click View Analytics → in the Analytics card, or navigate to Analytics from the sidebar.
What's Tracked
VariantIQ tracks the following events automatically — no additional code required:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Template Views | Counted each time a customer loads a product page with an active VariantIQ template. |
| Add-to-Cart Events | Counted each time a customer successfully adds to cart from a template-enabled product page. |
| Conversion Rate (CVR) | Add-to-Cart Events ÷ Template Views × 100. Indicates how often template views convert to cart additions. |
Dashboard Overview
The Analytics page shows three summary metrics at the top:
- Total Template Views — Aggregate views across all templates.
- Add-to-Cart Events — Total successful cart additions.
- Overall Conversion Rate — Blended CVR across all templates.
Below the summary, a bar chart shows relative view volume per template — longer bars indicate higher-traffic templates.
The Template Breakdown table provides per-template detail:

Interpreting the Data
Low CVR on a high-traffic template? Consider reviewing the fields — required fields that customers can't fill in, or overwhelming option sets, often cause drop-off before add-to-cart.
Zero views despite linked products? Confirm the App Block is activated on the product template in the Theme Editor. Views are only tracked when the block is rendering.
Data Freshness
Analytics data updates in real time. There is no cache delay — events are recorded as they happen.
Data Retention
Analytics data is retained for as long as your VariantIQ subscription is active. If you uninstall and reinstall, historical data is preserved for 30 days post-uninstall.
