Getting Started โ
Install StitchIQ, configure your first plan, upload a design, and go live โ in about 15 minutes.
Step 1 โ Install the App โ
- Find StitchIQ in the Shopify App Store or follow the install link from your welcome email.
- Click Install and approve the requested permissions. StitchIQ needs access to products, orders, and customer data to function correctly.
- You'll be redirected to the StitchIQ dashboard inside your Shopify admin.
Step 2 โ Choose Your Plan โ
StitchIQ requires an active subscription to function. You'll be prompted to choose a plan immediately after installation.
All plans include a 14-day free trial โ no charge until the trial ends.

Step 3 โ Upload Your First Design โ
- Click Designs in the StitchIQ sidebar.
- Click Upload Design and select your embroidery file.
Supported formats:.pes,.dst,.emb,.jef,.vp3 - Fill in the design details โ name, category (e.g. "Logos", "Sports"), tags (e.g. "floral", "holiday"), and optionally a thumbnail image.
- Click Save. Your design is now live in the storefront catalog.

Step 4 โ Set Up Pricing โ
Go to Settings โ Pricing in the StitchIQ dashboard. Choose between:
- Per-stitch pricing โ Price calculated automatically from stitch count ร rate + setup fee, with a base minimum.
- Flat rate โ Every design is quoted at the same price plus a setup fee.
You can also override the price on individual designs for one-off exceptions.
Step 5 โ Add the Catalog to Your Store โ
Your catalog is live at:
https://your-store.myshopify.com/apps/stitchiqAdd this link to your store navigation, a product page button, or a collection page banner. Customers click it and see your live embroidery catalog.

Step 6 โ Test the Experience โ
- Open
/apps/stitchiqon your storefront (in an incognito window to test as a customer). - Click a design โ the detail modal should open with a live thread color preview.
- Change a thread color โ the preview updates in real time.
- Confirm the estimated price matches your pricing configuration.
- Click Add to Cart to verify embroidery order properties pass through correctly.
Cart product required
"Add to Cart" requires a Shopify product configured as your embroidery product. See the Integration Guide to set this up before testing.
