Getting Started โ€‹

Install TeamIQ, create your first branded store, and share it with your group โ€” in about 10 minutes.

Step 1 โ€” Install the App โ€‹

  1. Find TeamIQ in the Shopify App Store or follow the install link from your welcome email.
  2. Click Install and approve the requested permissions. TeamIQ needs read access to your products to display them on team storefronts.
  3. You'll be redirected to the TeamIQ dashboard inside your Shopify admin.

Step 2 โ€” Create Your First Store โ€‹

Click Create Store on the TeamIQ dashboard. You'll be taken to the store creation form.

Fill in the following:

  • Store Name โ€” The name of the team, school, or organization (e.g. "First Baptist Church Spirit Wear"). This appears in the browser tab and as the storefront heading.
  • Store Web Address โ€” A URL-friendly slug auto-generated from the name. Customers will visit your-store.myshopify.com/apps/teamiq/your-slug. You can edit this.
  • Status โ€” Set to Draft while setting up, then switch to Active when ready to share.

Click Create Store to save.

Keep the slug clean

Use short, memorable slugs like first-baptist or wildcats-2026. Avoid spaces and special characters โ€” they'll be stripped automatically.

On the store's edit page, add products from your Shopify catalog:

By Collection:

  1. Under Collections, click Browse Collections.
  2. Select one or more Shopify collections. Products from all selected collections will appear on the storefront.
  3. Drag collections to reorder them โ€” products from the first collection appear before products from the second, etc.

By Product Tag:

  1. Under Product Tags, type a tag and click Add Tag.
  2. Products matching that tag will be merged with your collection products.

You can combine collections and tags โ€” TeamIQ deduplicates products that appear in multiple sources.

Step 4 โ€” Customize the Branding โ€‹

Under Branding, set up the storefront's look:

  • Logo โ€” Upload an image or paste a URL. Appears in the storefront header.
  • Primary Color โ€” Used for buttons and headings.
  • Secondary Color โ€” Used for accents.
  • Background Color โ€” Page background.
  • Font โ€” Choose from Inter, Roboto, Outfit, Poppins, Montserrat, Open Sans, or Lato.
  • Header Text / Tagline โ€” Optional text shown under the store name (e.g. "2026 Spring Collection").

Step 5 โ€” Set the Store to Active โ€‹

On the same page, change the Status dropdown from Draft to Active, then click Save.

Your storefront is now live at:

https://your-store.myshopify.com/apps/teamiq/your-slug

Copy the storefront URL and share it with the group:

  • Send it directly via email or text
  • Add it to your navigation under Online Store โ†’ Navigation
  • Link to it from a page or product description

Customers click the link, land on the branded storefront, and shop โ€” it's that simple.

Make sure the store is Active

Customers who visit while the status is Draft will see a "Store Not Found" page. Flip to Active before sharing the link.
