General โ
What is TeamIQ? โ
TeamIQ is a Shopify app that lets you create multiple white-labeled storefronts โ one per team, school, church, or organization โ all powered by your existing Shopify catalog. Each store has its own branding, product selection, and ordering schedule.
Who is TeamIQ for? โ
TeamIQ is built for print shops, decorators, promotional product suppliers, and merchandise businesses that manage group ordering for multiple clients. If you're manually creating separate Shopify stores or sending spreadsheets for each client's group order, TeamIQ replaces that workflow.
Do I need technical knowledge to set up TeamIQ? โ
No. Creating a store takes about 10 minutes and requires no code changes. You configure everything through forms in the Shopify admin.
Does TeamIQ work with all Shopify themes? โ
Yes. The storefront is served through Shopify's App Proxy, which is separate from your Shopify theme. Your theme's navigation and footer wrap around the storefront content, but the storefront itself is independent of theme customizations.
Is there a free trial? โ
Yes โ every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. No charge until the trial ends. If you uninstall before the trial ends, you won't be billed.
Stores & Products โ
How many stores can I have? โ
It depends on your plan. Starter allows 3, Pro allows 15, Business allows unlimited. Archived stores don't count against your limit.
Can I use the same products in multiple stores? โ
Yes. You can link the same Shopify collection or product tag to as many team stores as you want. The products are not duplicated โ each store simply displays a different filtered view of your catalog.
Can I control the order products appear on the storefront? โ
Yes โ use the Product Order section on the store's edit page to drag and reorder products. Each row shows the product thumbnail, name, and its source (collection or tag). The saved order is applied on every storefront load.
Can I also reorder collections? โ
Yes. In the Collections section, drag the โ ฟ handle on any collection row to reorder them. When no custom product order is set, products from higher-ranked collections appear before products from lower-ranked collections.
Can I add products to a store that aren't in a collection? โ
Yes โ use Product Tags to include products by tag. Any product tagged with a matching tag will appear even if it's not in a linked collection.
What if a collection has hundreds of products? โ
TeamIQ currently fetches up to 50 products per collection and 50 per tag query. If your collection has more than 50 products, only the first 50 will appear. Contact support if you need higher limits.
How do I tell customers when their order will be ready? โ
Use the Delivery Note field on each ordering window to write a free-text message like "Ready approximately 1 week after the window closes." For Always Open stores, set the Fulfillment Label to override the default "Ships in N business days" message with your own text (e.g. "Ships every Friday").
Can customers browse product images and pick variants on the storefront? โ
Yes. Clicking any product card opens a full-screen Product Detail Modal with an image gallery, variant selectors, a quantity spinner, and an Add to Cart button. If a selected variant has its own image in Shopify, the gallery automatically scrolls to it.
Ordering Windows โ
Can I have multiple ordering windows for the same store? โ
Yes โ you can add multiple windows to the same store. This lets you set up several events in advance. When one window closes, TeamIQ automatically checks for the next open one.
What happens when no ordering window is currently open? โ
The store enters a "closed" state. Behavior depends on your Closed Store Behavior setting โ customers can be shown grayed-out products, a custom message, or a completely hidden product grid.
Can I manually close an ordering window early? โ
Currently, windows are controlled by their date/time settings only. To close a window early, set the Close Date to today's date and save.
Branding โ
Can each store have a completely different look? โ
Yes โ every store has fully independent logo, colors, font, and tagline settings. There is no shared "default theme" between stores.
Where are uploaded logos stored? โ
Uploaded logos are stored in Cloudflare R2 and served via a public CDN URL. They persist as long as your TeamIQ account is active.
Can I use my own font? โ
Not currently. TeamIQ supports 7 Google Fonts: Inter, Roboto, Outfit, Poppins, Montserrat, Open Sans, and Lato. Custom font support is on the roadmap.
Access & Security โ
How does the password gate work? โ
Customers who visit a password-protected store see a gate page. After entering the correct password, they're redirected to the storefront. The password is stored in their browser session โ they won't be asked again until the session expires or the password changes.
Can I restrict a store to specific Shopify customers? โ
Not natively. The password gate is the built-in access control mechanism. For Shopify customer login-based access control, that would require custom development.
Billing & Account โ
How is billing handled? โ
All billing goes through Shopify โ charges appear on your Shopify invoice. There's no separate SaasyLlama account or credit card required.
Can I switch plans? โ
Yes, at any time. Go to Settings โ Billing in the TeamIQ admin and select your new plan. Shopify prorates the difference automatically.
What happens to my stores if I cancel? โ
Your store configurations are retained for 30 days after uninstallation in case you reinstall. After 30 days, store data is permanently deleted. Your Shopify products and orders are not affected โ those remain in Shopify indefinitely.
Can I use TeamIQ with multiple Shopify stores? โ
Yes โ each Shopify store requires its own TeamIQ installation and subscription. Team stores are scoped per Shopify store and are not shared between accounts.
