Templates & Design Library โ€‹

Templates and the Design Library let customers save their work and reuse it โ€” useful for repeat orders, recurring designs, and commonly used artwork.

Templates โ€‹

A template is a saved snapshot of the entire canvas state โ€” all images, their positions, sizes, rotations, and any applied masks.

Saving a Template โ€‹

  1. Build a layout on the canvas.
  2. Click Templates in the toolbar.
  3. Give the template a name (e.g. "Spring League Roster Set").
  4. Click Save.

Loading a Template โ€‹

  1. Click Templates in the toolbar.
  2. Browse the saved templates list.
  3. Click a template to load it โ€” this replaces the current canvas with the saved layout.

Templates replace the canvas

Loading a template clears all current images. Make sure you're done with the existing layout or have saved it first.

Deleting a Template โ€‹

Open the Templates panel, find the template, and click Delete.

Use Cases โ€‹

  • Seasonal layouts โ€” Save a full team's name/number set each season and reload it with updates next year.
  • Standard fill patterns โ€” Save a "tiled logo" layout for a popular product and reuse it instantly.
  • Proof-approved setups โ€” After a customer approves a layout, save it as a template for reorders.

Design Library โ€‹

The Design Library is a persistent artwork library โ€” images saved here are available across every builder session (not just the current one). This is distinct from the Images sidebar tab, which only shows images uploaded in the current session.

Adding Designs to the Library โ€‹

  1. Open the Library tab in the sidebar.
  2. Click Upload to Library (or the equivalent button).
  3. Select your artwork file.
  4. Give it a name for easy identification.
  5. Click Save.

The design is stored on the backend and appears in the Library tab for all future sessions.

Using a Design from the Library โ€‹

  1. Open the Library tab in the sidebar.
  2. Browse or search for the design.
  3. Click the thumbnail to add it to the canvas.

Managing the Library โ€‹

From the Library panel you can:

  • Search by name
  • Delete designs you no longer need

Organize by client or product type

Use a naming convention like ClientName_DesignName so you can quickly find a specific client's artwork. For example: WildcatsSoccer_Logo, WildcatsSoccer_Number_Template.
